PIPS Empower Law Enforcement Officials With New Detection Innovations and Product Offering


Orlando, FL, October 8, 2018  – PIPS Technology™ (“PIPS”) a leading technology provider of detection innovation supplying advanced Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) solutions, unveiled a series of new technology and products at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) 2018 in Orlando.

PIPS built the world’s first integrated traffic camera and has won numerous awards, including the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the innovation category. Neology acquired PIPS in 2017 and has since invested in the renewal of PIPS leadership in detection innovation. At IACP 2018, a series of new products, including new stationary ALPR camera, mobile system, intelligent software and application, was on display for all visitors to see at PIPS booth. The presentation attracted unprecedented number of show patrons. Visitors were excited at the new PIPS Technology™ and interested in the new ALPR product line filled with industry leading technology.

PIPS IRIS, the latest ALPR stationary camera was featured at the booth. IRIS is an all-in-one ALPR platform offering wide coverage, superior resolution and the industry-leading detection performance. Whether used for safety and security, free-flow tolling, low-emission zones or access control, PIPS believe IRIS delivers the best-in-class results in all the applications.

In addition, PIPS demonstrated the new mobile system on an Interceptor which simulated the on-street operation. The new mobile system is designed by leveraging PIPS experiences in law enforcement and the feedback and suggestions from our customer committees. It is an eco-system including the covert cameras, a compact and powerful computing unit, the in-car application software PAGIS and the web-based back office system. The mobile ALPR solution offers accurate and actionable information, environmental awareness and safety for police force.

Powered by Neology’s software development force, PIPS also showcased its new ALPR back office system combined with Automatic Vehicle Identification technology, providing near-real time intelligence that extends reach and saves investigation time.
