Deploying PIPS ALPR in High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA’s) can help identify known drug traffickers for surveillance and enforcement. Additionally, by monitoring vehicle activity at known deal and drop sites, potential drug trafficking suspects may also be identified. Mobile systems may be used to patrol areas of known activity, while fixed systems may be used to monitor higher volume traffic areas.
